The Bible is clear about marriage. In Genesis 2:24, God says a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. ONE wife. ONE husband. Jesus reaffirmed this in Matthew 19:4–6. Paul also says in 1 Timothy 3:2 that a church overseer must be the husband of one wife. While the Bible records polygamy, recording something is not the same as endorsing it as God’s design. From the beginning, God’s design was one man and one woman becoming one flesh. How can a pastor claim that monogamy is unbiblical when Jesus Himself reaffirmed God’s original design for marriage? Read the Word for yourself! 📖
