Yes, we have a German Shepard Amish puppy mill rescue (she was too old to sell), it’s so sad, the amount of training she has needed due to the severe anxiety and fear of men with beards and hats!!!

I got my German shepherd from the Amish in PA in 2010 and he lived until 2020. Bought him for 350 and he was the “runt” and was kicked by a horse. But he was the best dog we ever had and he was a beast.

Yep. My sable German shepherd was a rescue. She came from Amish in Ohio. She was abused. She had multiple health problems. She is absolutely freaked out by men with hats. She’s a sweetie though and living her best life in TN now.

I dont buy no animal.. God will bring me one when I'm ready.. I call them pet owners animal ditchers.. they just throw puppies and kittens in the side ditches in the country.

I paid $150 for 2 out of 3 of my Shepherds and they are the best dogs ever. My 3rd girl was free (we think Amish dumped her), they are all certified search and rescue dogs. 🥹 I am a firm believer price doesn’t matter! Love the breed!!

Bad breeding is an atrocity in all breeds but in dog who are meant to have strong working character, it’s catastrophic. A nervy GSD, Rott, Dobe, Corso etc is a dangerous and unpredictable animal. It’s very sad.

They dont care about the animals. I obtained a 4mth old Shepherd that came from the Amish. She lived to 20 mths old because she had a genetic disorder called CLAD. She was the best girl and didnt deserve to live such a short life. They say at least 50% of a litter of pups where this is present will be born with this disorder and most won't live past a year old. They need to be shut down and prosecuted.

Czech/Slovak GSD in Delaware. Just found a club so will be working on titles. Hips will be X-Rayed in April after he turns 2 years old (currently 19 months). Line bred on Norbo Ben Ju (5/6 if I recall correctly)

Thought about getting one from them, but reconsidered and got my dude from a reputable breeder here in Michigan. Chase has been the best I've had and hope we have a long future together he's 2.5 and showing no signs of any health issues and the vet says he's in excellent health. That's sad that they have done that to the breed, best dogs ever.
