I enjoyed resonant and I’m looking forward to dlc if they do it. I still would have much preferred the first thing. Sam Lake’s absence is very felt and the story felt much more contained and constricted despite the physical map being expanded out of the oldest house.

Totally agree! I covered this too, safe sequels make sense, but when studios go above and beyond (Half Life franchise, BioShock Infinite, to name a couple) it makes a much bigger impact, and is generally much more tempting to get back into that world
