I'm disabled and am on medicare. After SS takes the Medicare premium I receive $1,040 per month. I'm on like 12 medications daily. One is $128 a month and another is $677. I've decided I'll be coming off the $128 medication and won't even start the $677. There are no manufacturer discounts because Medicare.

when I cared for my MIL, her medical alone was around 11,000 a year, which was pretty much her entire income from social security. She owned the house and was on a well so that was 2 less bills to worry about but we still had electricity, food, gas, and vehicles to worry about. And we still had a child in school. I didn't work because of the level of care she needed. my husband was only making about 20,000 and that was pre-covid. We ate a LOT of dollar store Cheerios
