The 40-year-old singer spoke on the Oct. 26 episode of the Recovering podcast. She talked about the “life stressors” she and Paul Costabile faced early on. She said there is a therapy list of them, and she had about 11. They moved across the country. They moved in together. He lost his job. She got pregnant. They married on Dec. 12, 2017. She said they wed at city hall about a month before their daughter Carmella was born. She was nine months pregnant. “It was just so messy,” she said. After Carmella’s birth, Perri said she had severe postpartum depression. Her father had open heart surgery, and Costabile’s parents were sick, so neither could help in those first weeks. “We just did it all out of order and in so many ways,” she said. “And then we just figured it out.” She also spoke about a later loss. In 2020, she had a miscarriage. Later that year, her daughter Rosie was “born silent.” She was then diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome. In 2025, she introduced a resolution to expand prenatal screening for it. She did it “for Rosie.” Perri filed for divorce on Nov. 3, 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences.” They share two daughters, Pixie Rose and Carmella Stanley.
