The Federal Reserve chair should speak with independence, objectivity, and political neutrality. Repeatedly saying it took “six years” to reach today’s economic environment sounds to me like an attempt to pin the blame on President Biden without providing the full context. If that timeline is relevant, explain the data and the factors behind it. Implying blame through repetition is no substitute for an honest economic explanation. To me, you sound so far in Trump’s pocket you can see the lint. Americans deserve clear answers and independent leadership. The Fed’s credibility should never be used to advance a political narrative.
