Negotiate legal reserves into your purchase. Where possible, negotiate seller-funded escrow accounts. Structure the transaction so you’re preparing for potential problems before they happen. Key 7 — Legal & AI. Don’t wait until you get sued to find an attorney. Build your legal team, understand your contracts, establish your reserves, and create the systems that protect your business. Consider allocating 3–5% of your monthly production toward legal reserves and expenses, adjusted to your actual risks and obligations. Why? Because nothing grips an entrepreneur harder than FEAR. And fear comes from the UNKNOWN. But when you already have the attorneys, the reserves, the contracts, and the systems in place, the unknown becomes manageable. You’re not scrambling.
