Everyone in the comments who is crying “who sits at a concert!?” when it’s literally a seated venue. Where people sit. And if most people are sitting down, especially the people behind you, then you should be respectful and remain seated. Buy a GA or pit ticket if you want to stand. Also there are tons of venues where there is no seating whatsoever so maybe stick to going to those places instead. None of those people (who also paid good money for tickets) paid to stare at your entire backside for the whole show. Have some common decency and read the room. I’d be willing to bet money that these people also take their phones out in movie theaters. Complete lack of social awareness or consideration.

No one’s required to sit down at a concert. Even if they are the only ones standing in the whole venue they have the right to do so unless the venue says otherwise.

If everybody else is sitting, it is OK to politely tap them on the shoulder and ask them to sit. If they don’t wanna sit though then there is nothing you can do about it and try your best to enjoy the show.
