@feastinglikeaqueen: The Hideaway | A Stylish Mexican Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Tucked away inside The Rodeo Collection, The Hideaway is a stylish Mexican steakhouse where the food, ambiance, and service were nothing short of spectacular. With its spacious outdoor patio, cabanas, and an open fire feature at the center, the setting gave me the feeling of being transported to Cuba. And the best part? They’re pet-friendly! Which meant my little furbaby could join me for a lovely brunch date. The weather was beautiful, so we opted for the patio. I had a little purse hanger conveniently placed beside me, while my cutie pie settled comfortably in her stroller on the other side. Talk about thoughtful details! We were welcomed with freshly made, warm tortilla chips accompanied by salsa and bean dip (soooo good!), followed by the cutest little amuse-bouche to start our meal. After much deliberation, I finally settled on the Pescado Zarandeado. And let me tell you, if I hadn’t ordered this dish, I would have regretted it! A HUGE thank-you to Jairus for the recommendation because this dish was absolutely phenomenal. The tender branzino fillet featured two distinct sauces: a creamy, avocado-based salsa verde and a spicy salsa roja. Each brought its own unique flavor profile, and both were equally delicious. I was also treated to a taste of their special house-made spicy sauce, which was fantastic! The branzino comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Naturally, I went with corn, along with a side of cilantro rice. I wrapped everything into a little taco, drizzled it with that incredible house-made spicy sauce, took a bite, and OMG… the flavors just melted in my mouth. I finished the entire dish in no time. I even heard that another diner loved it so much they ordered a second branzino! Honestly, I completely understand. And just when I thought lunch couldn’t get any better, they surprised me with a complimentary margarita sorbet to finish. Bright, refreshing, and bursting with zesty limeade flavors, it was the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. A heartfelt thank-you to Jairus for the wonderful recommendations and for making our experience so memorable. Even my little furbaby says thank you for the water and yummy sorbet! Between the delicious food, beautiful patio, thoughtful service, and pet-friendly hospitality, The Hideaway has definitely won me over.
