I used to work at an army barracks and a girl there was assaulted and left for dead. I think its quite common. Not a safe place for women to be unfortunately.

The military don’t protect women. I was assaulted by my sergeant and I got reprimanded for it, my career ruined by the power of one man and the men that surrounded him
