@maddy.universe: Connecticut man charged in $12M cargo theft scheme using six CDLs and hijacked trucking companies A federal case out of Connecticut shows how far cargo thieves are willing to go. Nursulton Khaydarov, 33, appeared in Bridgeport court on October 21 st and pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges. Prosecutors say he and others bought or took control of established trucking companies with trusted reputations. The group allegedly took over DOT numbers, MC numbers, business email accounts and even the identities of the previous owners. They then posed as those owners to book interstate loads from freight brokers. The cargo never reached its destination, and in some cases ransom was demanded for its return. Authorities say he was tied to at least 24 stolen loads worth over $12 million. The freight included electronics, computer equipment, clothing and nicotine products. He was also found with six CDLs. One was valid and five carried different names with his features slightly altered. Investigators believe the scheme began in September 2025. Brokers and carriers should verify ownership changes and confirm who is actually behind the DOT and MC numbers before handing over freight. #TruckingNews #CargoThefteightFraud #MaddyUniverse
