tbf, n o AI involved at my work but they are laying people off. just forcing those remaining to do 3 people's work each, handing the 'savings ' to the CEO, while multiple depots face closures not because they have no work, but because they have literally no staff left. the ones that are left are all off on long term sick due to stress.

It will replace things we aren’t even thinking about. Publishers won’t need writers anymore bc AI can do that. No more writers for scripts and they can also have AI shows & movies. No need for song writers. Think about it- AI can damn near replace everything. Trade schools need to be pushed in high school now!!

Well as a blue collar worker that has felt the effects of economic downturns the message I got from white collar workers was to “adapt” and that maybe I should have chose a better line of work. So my response to them is the same thing.
