That’s how contracts between providers and insurance work. Insurance says they’ll only pay a certain amount for a code and the provider either chooses to accept that or not. Do you not have an OOPM? That’s the most you should pay in a given year.

I had to drop mine and that scares me to death but I found out my Dr. only charges $200.00 for a visit and I go through Good Rx for my medication which is only around $50.00 bucks every 6 months. My premium was several thousands so unless something crazy happens this is best for me now until I can get a affordable insurance again [Twin hearts]

Fight that bill, do an appeal do everything you can. Huge scam!!! I’ve dealt with so many medical bills, and on the flip side not going to Dr’s when I need too because of a $4,000 deductible and I suffer and end up with worse medical issues. Everyone should get free health care in America.

Please check that 1 your insurance processed your claim in network and 2 they applied an adjustment to all charges. Your provider should have a contract with insurance where they charge $1,000 but the contract with insurance says you only owe $400, for example

I was quoted $2000 a month for 3 kids and it doesn’t cover even close to half, I suck it up a pay out of pocket still stupid expensive but better then $2000 a month for them to not cover everything 😔

By law, insurance cannot deny coverage because of a pre existing issues. Also look at the bill. Did they charge the $65k and then they had a contract with insurance that gave you a “discount?” Also, surgery bills typically are not just one bill. And i bet if you paid privately without insurance it would have been less. The pricing to insurance companies is ALWAYS higher than if you pay out of pocket

Do you have a deductible that’s ridiculous do some research call you may be able to get it reduced exactly we pay fir insurance but still have to pay out of pocket 🤬🤦♀️
