Paranormal activity. Yes I know how people feel bout it. But it was the first time it hit me that I wouldn’t be able to see, run from, hide from or fight off the paranormal. Scariest thought ever. A man with a knife? I can see that heifer coming. A ghost? I’m screwed.

Mirrors!! Kind of the same reason as your first one. During the movie, I wasn't afraid. After? Terrified. I couldn't look into anything reflective because I was afraid the other me was going to get me.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is that movie for me. The way that movie affected me, specifically the barn scene…it literally took my breath. I woke up at 3 am every night for a couple of weeks after. There is no other movie that affected me like that. I will say, it took me a long time to watch it again but once I did, it didn’t affect me the same.

The episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark with the boy in the woods looking for his sweater. “I’m cold” is the only thing about that episode I remember, but it’s stuck with me for 30+ years
