Born in 1930, Huerta was a pioneering advocate for farmworkers, women’s rights, and social justice across the United States. She helped co-found the National Farm Workers Association in 1962 alongside César Chávez, an organization that later became the United Farm Workers. Throughout her decades of activism, Huerta fought for fair wages, safer working conditions, and better protections for agricultural workers, particularly throughout California. She is also widely recognized for the powerful phrase “Sí, se puede” (Yes, we can), which became a rallying cry for generations of activists. In 2012, she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her lifelong contributions to civil rights and labor advocacy. Her legacy will continue through the countless lives she impacted and the movements she helped build. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and loved ones. 🕊️ Rest in peace, Dolores Huerta (1930–2026). 📍 California | United States 📡 Sources: Family Statement / ABC7 / National Park Service #DoloresHuerta #CivilRights #UnitedFarmWorkers #ONM © One Nation Media | Fair Use – 17 U.S.C. §107
