Long post ahead! Just wanted to document this chapter of my journey so I can look back on it someday.🤍 Six weeks na since I got injured and honestly, I’m still recovering. Hindi naging madali. Minsan tinatawanan ko na lang, but deep inside, nagpapanic na ako kasi what if hindi gumaling agad? Ayoko matigil ng matagal kaya kung mapapansin niyo I still try to run whenever I can. At the same time, I started focusing on the things within my control and finding ways to help my body recover. Actually, naiiyak ako while making this video. It made me realize how much I’ve been through and how much I’ve taken my body for granted. Ang hirap pala talaga ma-injure, but I’m still choosing to stay positive and trust that one day, babalik din ako sa dati🙏🏼 Sabi nga ng coach ko, “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” I’ve always been that person who loves doing multiple activities😅 thinking kaya ko lahat until my body started telling me otherwise. I wasn’t giving enough attention to recovery, nutrition, and strength training, especially kapag wala akong race na pinaghahandaan hays wag tularan! This injury taught me to be more intentional. I focused on sports-specific strength and conditioning kaya may coach na ako for that! Proper nutrition, and quality sleep talaga! Kasi don nag rerepair or nag rerecover yung katawan natin. I’m still not 100% back, and may discomfort pa rin talaga during runs, but being able to do thresholds and long runs again sobrang saya kuna 🥹🙌🏼 To all my coaches, PT, meal sponsors, supplement partners, and StretchLab, thank you for your unending support from day one until now. I’m beyond grateful to have you all in my corner❤️
