Synthetic fuel is too expensive to make it wasted 85% of the electric used to make it. Works out at present to be about £3:50 a litre

combustion engines are outdated and less efficient. why does it make sense to use lots of electricity to create fuel when the electricity can just go straight into an EV car. and it's your choice if you want to pay 40k for a Kia a decent ICE car costs the same. budget EVs are available just like budget ICE. development should be made into better charging options and not alternative fuel sources. like it or not EV is here and it's here to stay and as time goes on ICE will become less and less.

F1 engineer came up with synthetic fuel a few years ago and is now being used in F1 cars. Running a v8, v10 on synthetic fuel is the future.

Synthetic fuel is a last gasp by German OEM’s to lobby for extension of the zev. It’s an utter nonsense. The carbon footprint is worse than burning petrol and the energy losses are far less efficient than putting it in a battery. It’s a terrible solution. Oh and it’s massively expensive, no one makes it and it’s almost impossible to scale. Other than that, great.

and then look at energy effeciency even excluded the production and you'll see a gas car with an effeciency of 30% and a EV 90%
