Isaiah was in the training season.. in the cave of adullam.. for him to align with God he had to go without clothes and shoes.. meaning he had to strip himself of all that he thought was covering him.. pride, ego, lust, he had to be naked just like a baby before God... 3 years was a timeline.. God has a timeline for each of us in our season of training... if we fail we repeat.. his season of being shaped into a man who would meet God's standards was three years... if he had to strip himself off the worldly pleasures and humble himself in total dependence to God....

all of this strict instructions are just for one profound reason. THE UNENDING LOVE OF GOD. it tells us of how reckless God's love can actually be towards us. isaiah went without cloths, God left his throne and the company of his angels for humanity, he actually took a form of a sinful man, imagine a God who can not behold sin, in whom theres not darkness, became sin for us, scorched and beaten, nailed and killed. hmmm

God does not refine us with silver but we are refined through suffering....so that at the end of the day what is meant to break us can't because we would have faced the unbearable

if you see some people's effort, discipline, and sacrifice you'll realize you don't want it as bad as you think you do.

When I read this I was in awe but obedience is the key factor here because what if Isaiah didn't do it...what if he said no... God is sovereign he knows us from ending to beginning... Lord please grant me the grace of obedience.
