Plenty of people had a rough past and still went on to build a brilliant future: • Robert Downey Jr. hit rock bottom with addiction and legal trouble, and many people in Hollywood wrote him off. He got clean, rebuilt his career, became Iron Man, and went on to win an Oscar. 
• Mark Wahlberg got into serious trouble with the law as a teenager and spent time behind bars. He turned his life around and became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and a successful businessman. 
• Eminem grew up with very little and later nearly lost everything to addiction. He fought his way back to sobriety and remains one of the best-selling artists of all time. None of them erased their past. They just refused to let it be the last chapter. Everyone carries different circumstances and different battles that nobody else can see. Wherever you are right now, it doesn’t have to be where your story ends. It usually starts small. One better decision. One new person in your corner. One day where you choose differently than before. Then another, until the direction of your life starts to change. You can’t rewrite the pages you’ve already lived.
