@coachpowell5: 🔥 245 LBS FOR 3 REPS! MEET JJ! 🦍💪 JJ is an incredible young man who came to Kingdom Performance Academy with almost ZERO weightlifting experience! But what makes his story so special is the adversity he’s had to overcome just to get to this point! JJ previously underwent Achilles tendon-lengthening surgery and has struggled with limited ankle dorsiflexion. This makes movements that most people take for granted, like squatting, bending, and hinging while keeping their heels planted, extremely challenging! Before Kingdom Academy, JJ had NEVER deadlifted before! In fact, when we tested our athletes’ strength 8 weeks ago, JJ couldn’t even participate in our deadlift max testing because he was wearing a wrist brace due to concerns about a possible hairline fracture. 🚨 FAST FORWARD JUST 8 WEEKS… 💥 245 LB DEADLIFT FOR 3 REPS! 💥 Let that sink in! A young man who had never deadlifted before, who has dealt with physical limitations and setbacks, is now moving 245 pounds for 3 reps after just TWO MONTHS of training! And the best part? WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED! 📈 JJ has made tremendous strides in his strength, mobility, confidence, and overall athletic development during his first two months at Kingdom Academy! This is exactly why we created this academy. It’s about so much more than academics and lifting weights. It’s about teaching young men how to overcome adversity, develop discipline, build confidence, and realize what they’re truly capable of! JJ, WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! Keep showing up, keep working hard, and keep proving to yourself that your limitations don’t define your potential! The ceiling is HIGH for this young man! 🦍👑 BE A BEAST! #fyp
