@fortworthreport: The iconic ArtsGoggle festival is paused due to underground repairs on Magnolia Avenue beginning in the spring. The event welcomes around 800 visual artists and more than 50 musicians to the 21-block event. With the festival’s return date yet to be announced, vendors like Sisk are left to plan their pivot. According to Megan Henderson, president of Near Southside Inc., the nonprofit, which organizes and coordinates ArtsGoggle, will instead find ways to support the businesses during the pause. “It’s a symbiotic relationship, healthy streets, beautiful places, the placemaking that makes a destination street like Magnolia Avenue,” she said. “The artists who line that street are really the icing on the cake, but we can’t make a cake without sugar, and these infrastructure pieces are (those) core ingredients.” 🖋️ : Mica Magday 📹 : Haley Walton #artsgoggle #fortworth #festival
