All of these tips and rules are great…. The one thing I haven’t seen and first thing I was told and taught, even before my first official trip……… IF YOU SEE AN ACCIDENT, MAJOR OR MINOR, EVEN IF THERES A LOT OF PEOPLE STOP!!!!!!! You could be helpful and you/your group could be the difference between life and death! This sounds dramatic but so fucking true.

Slow around camps, dont cut through others trains, the passenger should be on the look out as much as the driver, look ahead as much as possible, hitting your brakes is OK, the throttle has more range than just on or off

February 2008 ride to Sunset Hill very deep bowl came up very quickly and the driver had no time to slow down or or stop when they hit the bottom of that bowl It snapped the shock in the half. How My Brother managed to get out of that rail by himself before collapsing to the ground is a miracle . He suffered an L1 L2 and L3 burst fracture in his spine. Spinal cordwas compressed 80% and almost severed. spent three weeks at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, where the underwent two major surgeries to put his spine back together. He is a walking miracle who gets asked how he is even walking today. Had itnot been for the other individuals that stopped and the quick response of the emergency medical unit at Browley Hospital. My Brother would be potentially quadriplegic.
