I recently got back on the dating apps and the first line in my bio is "Are you registered to vote?" Because it IS that serious! I check my voter registration over the summer to make sure things were in order and I check again before the registration deadline. Early voting started at the beginning of the month. I went right to my BOE and it took maybe 20 minutes in total. And idk about other states but here in Ohio your job has to allow you a reasonable amount of time to vote on election day. You can come to work a little late without penalty, do it on your lunch break, or leave a little early. Literally NO EXCUSE!

I sat outside the polls for maybe 5-10 min before going in and it was almost all old white people coming out. I went in, read that shit twice, voted, and awkwardly walked out in 15 min. We can make change if we all do our part, ALL of us

My issue is that people stand in LONG lines for new shoes, phones, bags, etc but won’t stand in line to vote. They keep saying voting isn’t a big deal. Then why not just do it anyway since it’s “no big deal” 🤷‍♀️

I know several black people who complain about the justice system being stacked against them (it is, don’t get me wrong) but also brag about ignoring every single jury summons 😭 how are you gonna be judged by a jury of your peers when your peers are dodging jury duty

I had to fact check and the site I looked at did show that white people are more likely to vote than the other demographics. I actually thought black people voted more. idk where I got my previous assumption from. but I learned something thank you
