@rossnewhouse: I love songwriting because it's so over the top. I can never just be direct and say I don't like this new guy you're dating. I have to throw in some metaphors, some similes, a few writing devices. That's just how my brain has always operated. Someone recently said it's "symphonic cognition," that all my thoughts are processed through a songwriting lens.
