I got fruit roll ups to throw in the mix! My favorite part of Halloween was the real snacks I'd collect. One house that was never visited in my town because of the location always had goodie bags of chips, a juice box, trinkets. My grandma was friends with her so we always visited!

Ring pops! I got those last Halloween because I would’ve loved it as a kid. It was an “expensive” candy that I never got ya know? But idk about kids these days lol

We gave out rock candy one year and kids LOVED it!! Cuz it was dif than everything else! And sold in bulk at our costco

Thanks to videos I saw on here last year we -jokingly- did some candy and juices and threw in some ramen noodle packs and raw, whole potatoes. We went through 2.5 boxes of ramen and about 4-5 lbs of potatoes 😅 my mom was shocked at how much of it was gone. This year we’re doing chips/drinks/snacks. I liked the idea of having a snack available for trick or treating instead of my kids having a sugar high through all of trick or treating so that’s what we’re trying this year.

I got full size Hersheys, Kit Kats and Reese’s, mini m&m tubes, nerd ropes, and ring pops. Then I also have a few non candy options. Squishy toys, Halloween rubber ducks, friendship bracelets and bubbles.

things that weren't candy. pencils, stickers, bouncy balls, pens, glow sticks, ect. stuff I could keep and use/play with more than once, random colored beaded necklaces were the best. because you could were them to school for spirit week or random fun times.
