@anastasiabeautyfascia: These were my nasolabial folds at 25. And WOW, look at them now, 7 years later! 👀 We’re constantly told that with age, we lose collagen, our tissues descend, and our facial contours become less defined. But what if we also paid attention to how our facial muscles and connective tissues function? The appearance of your jawline and midface is influenced by several muscles. Your masseter helps define the angle of your jaw. When it’s chronically overworked, it can contribute to a wider, boxier lower face. Tension in the surrounding tissues can also affect mobility around the cheeks and nasolabial area. Then there’s your platysma, connecting the lower face with the neck. Add forward head posture, tension beneath the jaw, and an overactive chin muscle, and you have several structures influencing your facial contours. That’s why I work with the whole system. Watch how SLOWLY I perform this technique. We’re working with the mobility and gliding of connective tissue layers, helping reduce restrictions and unnecessary muscle tension. This is not about quickly rubbing the skin! This technique can be a beautiful addition to your routine for a softer-looking midface and more balanced facial contours. But remember, one technique is never the entire BeautyFascia method. There are other muscles and structures I want you to work with too. Want me to show you the other techniques I used to improve my nasolabial folds and jawline? Let me know in the comments! 🤍
