Was with my bd since I was 15.. from 2013 to 2025… I wanted to marry him, have a family with him, love him…. He just couldn’t love me the way I wanted/deserved. It didn’t matter how many times I explained over and over and overrrrr again. The things I didn’t like, the things that would make me feel loved/appreciated… he didn’t listen.. I broke myself down completely and still chose him and put him first… it still wasn’t enough. It took me until I was 27 to finally sit myself down again and have the same breakdown, I couldn’t and didn’t want to be “loved” like that forever… so I had to let go. I gave him a whole extra year, and another 3 months.. still, nothing. Now I am finally building myself back up , learning who I am without all that extra energy being wasted, I am loving myself again. & now, I’m the villian… because I walked away. Now he loves me and can’t live without me… but he’s still the same… as much as I love him and would do anything for him to be the person I would like him to be… I just can’t continue holding onto potential when I practically game him half my life… I was living for him, for my siblings, for my family…. Now I’m finally living for me.
