My AWD does amazing in the snow. Better than my 4x4. However, my 4x4 can go through sticky and deep mud and my AWD has trouble with thick grass 😂

I stay in 2H in the truck at all times, 4H if there’s serious rain or snow. 2L if I’m a bit stuck, and 4L if I’m done asking. Thats how my dad drove his 4WD trucks and how my grand daddy did aswell.

Subarus AWD exceeds 4WD.. that’s why small crawlers setups are switching to them 🤦🏻♂️. Not to mention, go out to the NW of America anywhere you’ll see Subie and no 4 WD at all.

What about vehicles that are full time 4x4 like my old H3 or my current 2016 Cherokee 4x4 where I can't choose when to use 4x2/4x4

The other thing I would consider is that not all all-wheel drive systems work the same way. a Subaru AWD system always sends power to all four wheels making it closer to four-wheel drive quality results in the situations where four-wheel drive is best...
