@theroguednc: According to The New York Times, New York Gov. Hochul has become one of New York City’s strongest public transportation advocates in a generation. Hochul approved a record $68 billion, 5 year MTA investment plan to modernize subways, buses, and commuter rail systems. She also helped secure more than $1 billion in additional revenue to prevent an MTA financial crisis in 2023. However, Hochul has faced criticism over labor disputes and has not supported Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s free-bus proposal.
