@wralnews5: LIVING WITH DATA CENTERS-- Despite living steps away from a new data center project behind his home, Robert Bruce welcomes the construction as a sign of progress in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Recent research suggests some people may be more tolerant of data centers if they already live in a community that has one. Broadly though, surveyed Americans have shown they hold increasingly negative views about the data center industry. #data #datacenter #virginia #Tech #technology

A good way to not hear data center construction all day is go to work.

Nintendo Fun Time :

I will take a data center all day long over town houses or apartments near my property!

Behind his house, over and down the rail road, through the woods, and through a small gap at the end of the woods. That’s a hike

MsBeckyYT :

These data centers fund these poor counties for a better standard of living . Construction is roughly 2-3 years and after it start bringing in money

Alison Paulette :

They have a beautiful new school thanks to those data centers. Far better than surrounding counties

DooDoo :

Data Center Tax Revenue: Data center taxes from companies like Microsoft supply between 35% and 40% of Mecklenburg County's general fund revenue. This stream has helped finance local school infrastructure, including a $154 million school complex and new elementary schools without incurring standard county debt. Slightly more than $20.

there are many different ways for you to avoid data centers being built in your area first delete all of your social media accounts next don't save anything to Apple cloud don't order anything from Amazon do not use Google this land was for sale everyone had a equal opportunity to buy mostly all of the data centers in Mecklenburg county were built on on industrial Park sites where no one wanted to buy the land why can't people just be happy that some of us have jobs to go to and it's bringing money to the community and it's putting food on people's tables Microsoft this year currently bought all the children in Mecklenburg county book bags and materials to use at school taking the burden off the parents

Kristi :

He probably sold them that land!
