Payton Vertz was first reported as a runaway on Oct. 6. Ten days later, his body was found at the Seagull Marina in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. A student at a nearby high school told police that 15-year-old Nathan Reichard admitted to killing Vertz and described himself as a “psychopath.” Police later interviewed Reichard, who confessed to meticulously planning Vertz’s death with the help of 26-year-old Dominic Pilgreen, who was living at an encampment in the woods of a local park.
