It’s going to help you understand and remember the sound of the vowel that is at the end of the word to help you read and write in Mong Leng. Please remember that the Mong Leng language is a tonal language. A tone marker appears at the end of the word creating a special sound. In the Hmong writing all words do not write as compound words that makes the writing unique. So read the fiction story below to find out what sound “aw” made. A story in English about a daughter in law who cooks her food that is too salty. Long ago, there was a daughter in law who was the one the mother disliked. Even when the son and daughter were dating, the mother already did not like the girlfriend of her son's. So when they get married, the mother always does everything to disrespect the daughter in law. But then one day, she sneaked to check what the mother in law was doing in the kitchen. So she caught the mother in law putting a spoonful of salt into her soup and she took a photo with her phone and shouted, “What are you doing?” The mother was startled. When the mother in law complains how salty her daughter in law’s food was to her son, but the daughter in law shows the photo to her son. Then her son tells his mother to respect his wife and make sure that his mother apologizes to his wife. After his mother apologized to his wife and they live happily ever together.
