My guy :
I’ve been painting at this level for almost 9 years, I also own my 2nd company but my hourly breaks down to $250/hour average after taxes. If your union or a not great painter as an employee, you won’t make good money. My first company I was paying a guy $64/hour and I always guarantee 40 hours with 10 overtime hours if you want them. I still made good money back then, now I make great money.

Worked as a union painter 36 years retired at 58 some 13 years ago receive a decent monthly pension and had a great annuity plan also get SS monthly

Depends on what kind of painting painted houses for 20yr now painting water tanks make way more now and none union 🤷🏼♂️

$72.38/hr take home on the check as a union journeyman HVAC tech in wa state. Every six months for the next two years I get a $3/hr rase. Total package is around $115.

I mean that has to be commercial paint which would make sense… bridge/industrial paint jobs 55-65 out in Philly total package is like 106 gotta work hard for it but commercial compared to bridge or industrial is a whole different world
