@crimetalkwithscottreisch: POLICE SAY THEY PUT A RESTAURANT CHAIR IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD FOR A TIKTOK HAIRCUT. A PICKUP TRUCK ENDED IT Most people get a haircut in a barber chair. Police in Ocala, Florida, say these three picked the middle of SW College Road. Ocala police say that around 8 p.m. on Sept. 27, the group took a chair from a nearby restaurant and set it in the center of the roadway for an online challenge. Ruben Rodriguez, 18, sat in the chair with his back to traffic while Andrew Costa-De Souza, 19, cut his hair and Christopher Coleman, 20, recorded it. Then a nearby crash sent a Chevrolet 3500 pickup veering toward them. Coleman and Costa-De Souza got out of the way. Rodriguez did not, and he was seriously injured. Police say neither driver showed signs of impairment. All three have now been arrested and charged with unlawful assembly and dangerous use of public rights-of-way. Costa-De Souza was picked up at Orlando International Airport when he came back from out of the country and was booked into the Marion County Jail. Scott's take: The good news for the defense is these are minor charges. The bad news is the prosecution's best evidence is the video they made themselves, which is how a lot of my clients' cases go these days. I hope the haircut was worth it, because the guy in the chair paid for it with a trip to the hospital. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. #CrimeTalk #TrueCrime #Ocala #Florida #TikTokChallenge #MarionCounty
