Along the trail, you will encounter a lost goldmine, numerous photo opportunities, and breathtaking views of the Superstition Mountains. ADD THIS TO YOUR BUCKET LIST‼️ [‘𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘’ 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿] 🥾 4.1 miles RT 🥾 Considered moderately challenging 🥾 885 ft elevation gain 🥾 To access the hike, a high clearance vehicle is preferred, but it’s still manageable with a regular car 🥾 There is no paved parking at the start of the trailhead. It’s all dirt. Arrive early, otherwise the “designated” parking will be full. 🥾 Use AllTrails to download map ahead of hike due to limited-to-no signal available in the area 🥾 As you approach “The Wave Cave,” the incline becomes steep so make sure you bring appropriate hiking shoes 🥾 The Carney Springs Trailhead is on Arizona State Trust Land, which requires a permit to park. Permits are per person and not per vehicle.
