Both of the subordinates are top 50. Pluton is a defensive and close combat fighter. He even willingly takes damage rather than dodge them. With Kartien it’s a little tricky depending if he recovered from healing Jiwoo yet.

you don't understand what garas meant , garas meant that these two is stronger than on those top 50 but it doesn't mean they can't take damage with them they are still on the same rank but more Stronger than top 50 but not strong than the top 10!! so these two are still and will be the potential to be in the top 10 but still not strong to take down top 10 but strong enough to take down any top 50 gettsss

To be me is more valuable to see that the weren’t even asked to do that, they just did it to make sure that Kayden can fight more confortable without any nuisance. This chapter was peak, we see how much every character is growing. Beramonthe crying for Ian, Gestella giving her hand to Kayden and Pluto and Kartein assisting Kayden in the fight. Best team ever.

Yoo Jiyoung and Seongik Han also fought and struggled against those two, all these people are under the top 50 so it’s not surprising that they gave them a little trouble, he’ll even Vatore is in the top 50 and Kayden wasn’t fully comfortable facing him while injured. The powerscaling makes no sense 1.kartein could compare to mirou n afford to be offguard against her 2.fp astra couldn’t instantly neutralize a 1% power kartein but iodore could instantly neutralize mei(top 50)3.the scaling is so weird kartein n pluton should be top 11-12 then they apparently struggle with those two

For those wondering why Kartein and Pluto look so battered-despite being incredibly powerful-here is the most likely explanation. First, Kartein had not yet fully recovered his strength, having essentially started from scratch after saving Jiu; it’s highly probable that Pluto, in addition to fighting his own battle, also assisted Kartein, which explains why both sustained such significant damage. Second, we’ve already seen how certain types of power can be inherently vulnerable to others-for instance, when Kang Su-man (who isn’t even among the top 100 Awakened) was able to neutralize the "iron sand" used by Mioru’s subordinate simply by using his gravity-based ability.

we forget that top 50 is still top 50 ... theres a reason why they are hesitant to fight between one another.. it DOES DAMAGE , if these two easily won, it would mean their enemies werent top 50 but like top 100 or less

Because the average top 10 attack = strongest top 50 attack, so the same effort it takes them to hold off a top 10 (not beat them) is the same effort it takes to fully beat a top 50, if they were to fight jiyoung they’d face similar injuries although they’d still beat her as is this case

I honestly don't know what the author is thinking. There are two empty seats in the Top 10, and I feel like they could easily have those positions, especially considering what they've shown us before. Remember when Garas told us that they're not easy targets, to the point that even the top 10 hesitate to make enemies with them? Kartien healing is unmatched, and Pluton defense is comparable to the top 10. With that kind of strength and those 2 twinks damage them that much?

kartein specialize healing and pluton’s defense, even though both have combat capabilities, they are not as great as other top 10, but for top 50, they are peak. also there is a chapter shows kartein and pluton holding off 2 top 10, once or twice, maybe once
