the gas south arena (where the Atlanta Vibe play) seats 13,000 which while less is way more than their home arena. it is a fair 4k seat sacrifice if you want a night game.

People are making it seem like this process is as easy as swapping shifts with a coworker and I feel like I’m going insane. The Dream gave the W plenty of notice to address the issue and they did nothing. They failed the Dream, not the Hawks.

There is a 24 hour rule for back to backs, but I was told I’m a misogynist because I said they can’t move the Hawks game up. Should the game be played in prime time? Yes, of course it’s a finals game and potential series ender. Did the W screw this up massively? Also yes, both things can be true.

THANK YOU. Also - Their players union doesn’t allow two games within 22 hours anyway. So moving the Hawks-Cavs game up on Thursday isn’t an option no matter what. The Friday option could work that would just move their back to back from W/R to F/S. But the full responsibility lands on the WNBA!

The nba has a collective bargaining agreement with its players requiring 24 hours between games on these back to backs and ik there’s other rules in the cba regarding back to backs that have to followed

remember it’s not the dreams stadium it’s the hawks they can do whatever they want with their stadium this is something that happens in any sport when a team that doesn’t own the stadium and is being allowed to play there they have to listen to the team who owns it 🤷♂️

The dream played in Gateway Arena all year because they only need 5000 seats. The Hawks play in State Farm Center. So the dream are lucky to be in the larger arena. Hope they can fill it

So wait did this girl just say that time can make a difference for injury… come on now. They are professionals getting paid millions. It won’t hurt them or affect them in any way to play earlier. And if there were meant to get hurt, then playing at 12:30 or 8 won’t matter. My god this is the stupidest theory in the world

God the NBA is soft as hell. Prime example is the NHL the New Jersey Devils played in Dallas last night and traveled to Denver to play the Avs tonight. And no one complains about that. Back to backs aren’t as bad in the NBA as you’re making them out to be. The only justification for this situation is the hawks own the arena.
