When I was in elementary school a teacher taught me a trick for division on the Side of the paper write DMSB D – Divide: Divide the first number inside the division problem by the number outside (the divisor). M – Multiply: Multiply the number you just divided by the divisor. S – Subtract: Subtract the answer from the number you started with. B – Bring Down: Bring down the next digit from the dividend.
