@debsmumdiaries: So, had a blood glucose test on Monday. If you get offered it and never had it before, they basically take your blood fasted and then you drink a glucose drink 🤮 (best advice is down it in one go don’t pause 😂) then make you wait 2 hours before taking your blood again. Despite thinking I’d be fine, didn’t get it last time, had no symptoms, unfortunately test came back that I have developed GDM this pregnancy 😭 yes there’s worse things, but honestly it’s very overwhelming. Now I have to test my blood 4x a day and track & manage my diet with hopes it stays within range. As someone with adhd and struggle with that aspect, I’m nervous! Now, hoping I can do whatever I can to maintain baby doesn’t come early or complications 🤞🏻 Anyone else had experience with GDM? #pregnancyjourney #gestationaldiabetes #motherhooduk #baby2
