ngl i liked season 2 until the finale season 1 was better || #davidmartinez #cyberpunkedgerunners #cyberpunk #cyberpunkedgerunnersedit #davidmartinezedit || David Martinez is the main protagonist of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime set in the futuristic, dangerous, and crime-filled city of Night City, where powerful corporations control much of society and people rely on cybernetic enhancements to survive. David begins his story as a 17-year-old student attending the prestigious Arasaka Academy, despite coming from a poor family. His mother, Gloria Martinez, works hard to give him a better future, hoping he will graduate and find a successful career, but David struggles to fit in with wealthy students who look down on him because of his background. After a tragic event completely changes his life, David decides to abandon his old path and become an edgerunner, a mercenary who takes dangerous jobs for money. He obtains an experimental cybernetic implant called the Sandevistan, which allows him to move at incredible speeds and react faster than ordinary people. David's unusual ability to withstand cyberware makes him special, but it also puts him at risk of cyberpsychosis, a dangerous mental breakdown caused by excessive cybernetic augmentation. As he enters the world of mercenaries, David meets Lucy, a mysterious netrunner who becomes incredibly important to him, and joins a crew led by Maine alongside Rebecca, Dorio, Kiwi, and Pilar. Over time, David develops from an inexperienced teenager into a skilled and respected mercenary who is willing to take enormous risks to protect his crew and the people he loves. However, as he becomes more powerful, he begins pushing his body and mind beyond their limits, believing that he must keep getting stronger to fulfill his promises and achieve his dreams. David's relationship with Lucy becomes one of the most important parts of his life, as he wants to help her escape Night City and reach the future she has always dreamed of. Despite his strength, bravery, and determination, David cannot completely escape the cruel reality of Night City, where corporations exploit people and even the most talented mercenaries can become disposable. His story is a tragic tale about ambition, friendship, love, sacrifice, and the consequences of trying to become a legend in a world that rarely allows people to live happily. David Martinez remains one of the most memorable characters in the Cyberpunk universe because, despite everything he goes through, he never stops trying to protect the people who matter most to him. - @yosephistc
