For the past few hours, we have been receiving deeply concerning reports circulating on social media that my aunt, @Noreen_KhanPK Noreen Niazi, has been admitted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. Our family was never informed. We are now standing outside her ward trying to establish her medical condition. The ward door has been chained shut, with police preventing us, her own family, from entering or seeing her. We are extremely concerned for her health and wellbeing. My aunt has already endured more than a month in detention, isolated from her family. Now, even in hospital, we are being denied access to her. What is her medical condition? Why was her family not informed? On whose orders are we being prevented from seeing her?
