@chriscerney: Multi-alarm commercial fire in Carmel Valley early this morning. The Monterey County Regional Fire District says crews were dispatched at 2:54 a.m. to a commercial structure fire at 13768 Center Street. According to the district, the fire quickly grew into a multi-alarm fire, requiring mutual aid from agencies in Monterey and San Benito counties. CAL FIRE BEU says it responded just before 3 a.m., along with the Cypress Fire Protection District and the Pebble Beach Community Services District. In its post, MCRFD said the fire had been contained and crews were working on salvage and overhaul. The district asked people to avoid the area between Village Drive and the Paso Hondo area. The cause of the fire and whether anyone was hurt have not been confirmed. Information: Monterey County Regional Fire District, CAL FIRE BEU #CarmelValley #MontereyCounty #Fire
