@sheetsbyolan: If you want to make sure a value only ever appears once on your list, this conditional formatting trick is the fastest way to enforce it. Just select your column, jump into format, conditional formatting, and set a custom formula using countif greater than one. The second a duplicate is typed in, both cells will light up red to alert you. It completely eliminates manual auditing when you have multiple people working in the same document.
