The unusual sightings began when a farmer noticed a gorilla wandering near his property, causing his livestock to become restless. At first, he worried the animal might cause trouble, but strangely enough, the gorilla seemed more interested in a scarecrow standing in the middle of his field. Until one morning, the scarecrow disappeared. Confused, the farmer searched his property, assuming one of his animals had knocked it over. But there was no sign of it anywhere. Days later, photos began circulating online showing a gorilla wandering through the forest carrying what appeared to be the very same scarecrow. Even stranger, nearby trail cameras captured the gorilla resting beside it and seemingly cuddling the stuffed figure while sleeping. The farmer couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Wildlife specialists suggested the gorilla might have become separated from its group, although nobody could say for certain why it had taken such an interest in the scarecrow. When the images spread online, people were divided. Some wanted wildlife officials to help the apparently lonely gorilla, while others believed it was best to let nature take its course unless the animal was in danger. Nobody knows exactly what the scarecrow meant to the gorilla, but one thought left people emotional. The farmer had placed it in his field to scare animals away.
