@japdmedia26: KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA, USA 🇺🇸 — A Florida mother was arrested after deputies say she left her four children, ages 9, 11, 12 and 14, without overnight adult supervision while traveling to Las Vegas for work. Authorities say the investigation began on October 21, when one of the children called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother’s head. The boy was taken to a hospital, treated and released. Deputies identified the mother as Irene Miller, 50. Investigators said she left Florida on October 18 and planned to return on October 23. Miller reportedly arranged for a babysitter to help the children prepare for school and check on them after school, but the babysitter did not stay overnight. According to the New York Post, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Kim Montes said Miller called her 14-year-old son after deputies reached her about the incident and questioned why he had contacted emergency services. Montes quoted Miller as saying, “Why are you calling 911? You’re going to get me in trouble,” according to the report. Miller was arrested at Orlando International Airport on October 23. Authorities charged her with four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm. She later posted a $4,000 bond. The children’s father, Mark Miller, took them into his care, according to authorities. He has pleaded not guilty to a separate battery charge stemming from an alleged confrontation with Irene Miller. The allegations against Irene Miller have not been proven in court. Her next court date was not immediately available in the report.
