Rhonda Roberts :
My mother abandoned me and my two sisters when we were little. We spent 7 years not knowing where she was, while me and my younger sister were left in an abusive foster home. My oldest sister found her and we reunited with her when I was 16. My blind love and need for her allowed me to let her use me for over the next 25 years. I finally came to my senses and left her. I didn’t hate her, she just never loved me like I deserved. It took my own children and my love for them to make me see her for who she was. Our lives improved when I walked away. You don’t have to let people continue to hurt you. It’s ok to walk away. That healed me, with Gods help. It was our preacher that showed me that. And he was right. I loved her from afar. She’s gone now and I hold no malice. I’m just grateful that God, and other loving foster parents that took me in showed me how to be a better parent, and a better person, and I’ll forever be thankful. We deserved better, but the reward is we didn’t let that pain consume us. We learned to love and it healed us. Thank you for sharing your story! 💙💙💙💙

Fatherhood has absolutely drawn me into a closer relationship with God. I get to experience the Father’s love in the love I have for my kids. Thank God for opening our hearts in these things we consider small

My dad walked out on us and started a new family. I'm 61 and still not over it. He was am amazing dad right up till the day he walked out. I will never understand how he could just turn his heart off like a light switch. I am continuing to pray about it, because I can say I forgive him, but I don't feel it in my heart.

This is soooo good brother and very true. Always believed "he that angers you, controls you". And thank GOD I've been delivered of that and found the strength for forgiveness!🙏😭💗

I was just teaching my daughter about this, when God says “vengeance is mine” I feel is so we can stop dwelling on the hurt and be in relationship with the Lord.
