@thesportsontap: Jackson Chourio has 10 hits in the first four games of this World Series. The only other player who ever did that was Babe Ruth. That record stood for 98 years. He had multiple hits in every game of the series. Only nine other players have ever done that through four games, and none were as young as 22. In Game 3 he went 4 for 5, and in one inning he got two hits and stole a base. Nobody had ever done that in a World Series. Last night in Game 4 he singled, then lined a double into center field in the 12th inning. Number 10. He also has 31 postseason hits before turning 23, more than anyone in history. Andruw Jones had 30 in 45 games. Chourio did it in 24. The Milwaukee Brewers gave him $82 million at 19, before he had played a single big league game. This is what that bet looks like. Here is the honest part. Last night’s record came in a loss. The Tampa Bay Rays won Game 4 on a walk off in the 12th. Milwaukee still leads the series 3 to 1. Today is Game 5, and the Brewers get another chance tonight to win the first World Series title in franchise history. Whatever happens, one part is already done. When anyone looks up the most hits in the first four games of a World Series, there are two names. Babe Ruth. And Jackson Chourio. #MLB #brewers #milwaukeebrewers #jacksonchourio #worlseries
