Seeing that you have a toddler, you must have support system / help. You have to stay in bed, like someone said earlier. Short walks in the house, not outside. I had the same OP, 4 hour surgery, due to fibroids that started growing on my bladder😳 Good luck 🌻

Idk. I’m 36 hours out and not in pain at all. I have a belly binder and that’s really it. Went on a walk today and felt perfectly fine. I didn’t realize how much pain I had been hiding or pretending wasn’t there for years. But in wishing you a speedy recovery

Hug a pillow whenever you feel the need to cough or sneeze. As much as it sucks, try to get up and walk for a few minutes every so often

Gas X, a pillow to help support your abdomen when you get up or do anything really. Especially if you have to sneeze or cough. Also don’t over do it too soon.

I had mine back in June, I wish you a speedy recovery! My advice would be as soon as you feel safe to do so, get up and walk short distances. Even if its just around your room because it helps move the gases around and will help with the shoulder/chest pain. Stay on top of taking your medication as prescribed, try not to miss doses. Try to have someone around that can help you and don't be afraid to ask for help. And sleep as much as you can 🫶🏻

Get a belly band or girdle. I know it sounds crazy but it helps so much. I wore mine for almost 6 weeks afterwards because it felt so much better with it on

I had an 8lb uterus and 5 fibroids, they weighted 6lbs. That was 4 years ago, I had to have blood transfusions because of that. Glad it’s gone!!!!

Abdominal binder! Saved my life for my abdominal surgery! Also keep a small basket of snacks and drinks by your bed so you don’t have to get up as much

Rolling on my side has helped with gas. Heating pad on the back of my shoulders helps with the pain. I just had a 16 pound ovarian cyst removed.

Pillow your best friend. My incision got infected. So watch for that. Stay on top of your meds. But your muscles were cut through. It takes awhile to get them back

First 3 days are the worst. Focus on hydration and taking short walks. if you're well hydrated you'll need to walk to pee. Plus if you're on the good pain meds the hydration and walking will help prevent constipation. Remember your body is still healing even if it doesn't hurt anymore. Truly take it easy for the next 3 months.

Warm Pepsi to deal with the gas and walk. Also follow the instructions, no vacuuming, mopping, for 6 weeks. My friend thought she was feeling OK and swept and caused issues.
