@thisismattchavez: 50,000 pairs of sandals. An abandoned department store. And years of people asking, “Why doesn’t somebody do something?” I spent nearly four years helping lay the groundwork for the revitalization of Main Street in Niagara Falls. Crawling through abandoned buildings, bringing people together, solving problems, and helping others see what was possible. I’m proud of that work. And I’m running for Niagara County Legislature because I believe our neighborhoods deserve that same commitment, experience, and vision. If you don’t deal with reality, reality will deal with you. Decline is not destiny. Our neighborhoods deserve more. And the next time we ask why somebody doesn’t do something, I hope we remember: We are, all of us, somebody. I’d be honored to earn your vote on November 3. #NiagaraFalls #NiagaraCounty #MattChavez #Election2026 #CommunityMatters

I understand what you are saying. but I just looked at the buildings today the school is selling those buildings that was just given to them most of them besides two does this make sense to you. how about helping the homeless individuals the two shelters that we have up here it's not enough for over 800 homeless individuals sleeping on these streets. so what are we supposed to do about them. we need a place for them so they can get off these streets the two shelters like I said are packed up here there's no way of getting them into any of them.
