@peppergrassranch: I got my three Pygoras sheared and nails trimmed over two days. My back is shot! My girls were a great help. Pepsi got upset when I was trimming around his peepers and broke my shears. He still has fiber on his head because of this. I’ll get those replaced and get back to finishing him by this weekend. Pygoras are goats that produce cashmere. They get sheared twice a year, because (unlike the alpacas) they release their fiber if it isn’t cut off. No goats were harmed during this process. Can’t say the same for my oldest daughter… Pepsi’s jacket we put on him was too small. She was helping me catch him and he dragged her into the carport. The metal tore two of her fingernails and she passed out. It was scary for this momma’s heart. She is okay though! #peppergrassranch #fibergoats #cashmere #goats
